Vintage micarta, also known as “old stock,” is a broad term applying to phenolic composites made decades ago by companies like Westinghouse, Bakelite, GE (Textolite), and International Paper to name a few. At this point, it’s impossible to say the exact age or manufacturer of most of these materials – suffice it to say they were made some time before Y2K and after the signing of the Magna Carta.
